Arcadis’ Binzagr National Distribution Center project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was named National Winner for Industrial Project of the Year by MEED Projects Awards, which celebrates the best GCC industry projects.
Binzagr National Distribution Center is one of the tallest (50m) and fully automated warehouses for fast moving consumer goods in the Middle East. Its innovative design performed jointly by Arcadis and Miebach utilizes hypoxic fire prevention system instead of conventional sprinkler system. In addition, the distribution center is expected to improve the performance of Binzagr’s distribution network by increasing speed, flexibility of movements and transportation of products across the Middle East and North Africa given its strategic location close to the King Abdullah Port.
The MEED Projects Awards in association with Mashreq recognizes the construction element of project delivery as well as the value and quality of a project throughout its lifecycle.
