Australia’s oil and gas sector is one of the world’s most dynamic as production levels rise and exports-especially to Asia’s energy dependent economies-become a multibillion dollar industry.
Global price gyrations and demand, tougher environmental standards, high recovery and delivery costs, and rising community expectations however, mean producers face tough cost, planning and operational pressures.
We help our oil and gas clients overcome some of their biggest challenges by bringing an innovative perspective to every stage of the value chain, from exploration and production to refining, transportation and public engagement. As a leading provider of comprehensive, fit for purpose solutions,
We can deliver skilled advice on social licence issues, remote area operations, and complex engineering and logistical requirements. We can also assist clients in understanding their regulatory responsibilities and meet the highest environmental standards - which is one of our most important tasks. Everything we do is underpinned by strategic policy and legislative advice, skilled approvals guidance, sustainable water management, risk assessment and innovative site design.
Notable projects include, Santos GLNG Project, Gladsone, QLD, which involved the development of two separate gas fields in south-west Queensland, where coal seam gas will be converted to liquefied natural gas and transported via a 420 kilometre underground pipeline to an LNG plant on Curtis Island, off the coastline of Gladstone.
We were also engaged on the Australia Pacific LNG project, a coal-seam gas to liquefied natural gas export project, delivered by an Origin Energy, Conoco Philips, and Sinopec joint venture. Arcadis developed and implemented the environmental management systems for the project, including the development of best practice and commercially effective plans to comply with all Environmental Authority and other approval conditions.
The world is a complex place, Arcadis helps you navigate this complexity by understanding the bigger picture. Click here to read our latest thoughts.
