Paris, France - Arcadis handles a key role in the complete design of the structure through to its final delivery, encompassing all the technical, architectural, time and cost constraints.
"We have overseen since June 2015 the successful completion of each part of the project both from a technical perspective and with regard to time frames. This vital monitoring has, moreover, made it possible to ensure the launch of the bridge deck including the date – 13&14 August 2016 – and the time frame had ended 2 years earlier. Any slight deviation from the schedule and we would have had to delay this installation by more than two years – minimum time required for the total closure of a rail network and the proposal of alternative transport solutions for passengers; at the speed the quarter was developing, it was now or never, so to speak...Couldn't have a delayed train ", comments Karim Zidouh.
One hundred and twenty-five metres long and 16 metres wide, the bridge is intended for use by cars, buses, cyclists and pedestrians. The City of Paris has sought to integrate a progressive nature in order to be able to give increased space to one or other of its users, over the 100 years the structure will be in use, depending on situations.
The Bridge will be operational in September 2017 subject to it being compatible with the works at the Clichy-Batignolles designated development area.
