The São Lourenço Production System is considered the largest water project happening in the Brazil. It will be essential to minimizing the impacts of the severe water crisis striking the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, and will directly benefit the recovery of the Cantareira system (one of the city´s greatest water reservoirs, currently at dangerously low capacity), When in operation, it will capture 4700 l / s (liters per second), which will serve 1.5 million residents, thereby improving the quality of life of the inhabitants the largest city in the Latin America region.

Arcadis is responsible for detailed executive project of the Production System São Lourenço. At the peak of activities, in April 2015, more than 30 professionals have worked on the project.
