South Australia, Australia - To help address South Australia’s ongoing power requirements, Venice Energy is looking to develop an LNG-to-power project that will provide additional capacity into the market.
Supporting this important project come to life, Arcadis will deliver a bankable feasibility study that will lead to the successful delivery of the gas fired power station in South Australia.
The concept is to create a gas-fired power station, LNG receiving/storing and re-gasification infrastructure, LNG and/or Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) berthing infrastructure, natural gas supply and export pipeline, as well as grid connection infrastructure.
The power project is envisaged to operate as a mid-merit plant and generate a nominal 300 - 500 MW of electricity for export to the grid. The fuel source will be LNG delivered via a carrier to a FSRU. LNG re-gasification will also take place on-board the FSRU.
