Amsterdam, Netherlands - The increased adoption of BIM software across Arcadis worldwide will result in smarter and faster project work, bringing more value and quality for clients, and ultimately, improving quality of life for citizens.
Arcadis continues to make significant investment in Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology through its strategic relationship with Autodesk, the leading 3D design, engineering and construction software company.
“We are 100% committed to implementing BIM in all project work we do for clients,” said Gerard Spans, chief information officer at Arcadis. “By scaling up our people, technology, process and data capability in BIM, we will establish ourselves as the industry go-to leader for BIM and the Digital Asset Lifecycle.”
The global BIM program enhances and digitizes the processes and collaboration for all stages of the asset lifecycle and remains a key priority for the company.
“BIM is changing the way assets are designed, built and managed,” said Callan Carpenter, vice president, global named accounts sales, Autodesk. “Arcadis is one of our most forward-thinking ecosystem partners, and we are pleased to continue strengthening our valued efforts with the firm, their people and clients.”
Arcadis currently implements BIM across a wide range of projects including Dubai Creek Harbor in the Middle East, HS2 in the UK, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and France’s A85 and A11 highway in Europe and Metro Sydney in Australia. BIM is used across all of Arcadis’ operating regions including the global design excellence centers and architectural practice CallisonRTKL.
