Arcadis is providing project management with the project set to be delivered in stages over a 5-year period. Arcadis is working closely with stakeholders, consultants and contractors to ensure minimal disruptions to the hospitals’ 24/7 operation. The programme has a phased procurement strategy to meet client operational needs and is designed to a BCA Green Mark (Platinum) Award standard.

Key challenges of the development include working within a confined construction site located adjacent to the existing hospital’s main building and ensuring project effectiveness in terms of implementation of phased planning and sequencing. However, Arcadis successfully delivered the utility plant building with all the MEP services tested and commissioned in 2017. The COHSB building will be completed by 2018, to prepare for the start of the 2019 academic year.
