M+ Phase 1 of West Kowloon Cultural District

Hong Kong - M+ is a new museum for visual culture in Hong Kong that forms part of the wider West Kowloon Cultural District development. The museum focuses on 20th and 21st century art, design, architecture and moving image and will be a in important element in delivering the government’s vision to make the Arts more available to the people of Hong Kong.

The works on the M+ museum comprises the construction of a 70,000m2 building that is designed to accommodate art & cultural facilities, conservation and storage facilities, retail, dining, entertainment and car-parking space. Drainage and external works, landscaping and associated utility diversion and site formation are also included within the program.


Arcadis is providing timely cost advice to the client on this on-going development based on the design information available for different scheme and at various design stages.  By closely monitoring the estimated project cost, the client is well informed of the latest financial situation compared with their overall budget, and can understand the extent of value engineering that may be required in order to align with their forecast capital expenditure.
