The discovery of the liquid fuel in the subsurface prompted the contractor to propose a costly and lengthy remediation program. 

The Arcadis project management team engaged the support of a specialist in the evaluation of liquid fuels in the ground, who helped development of a strong, risk-based case for no remediation requirement. This case was accepted by the local regulator, cited as being a more sustainable approach, and ultimately resulting in more than £1million in cost savings to our client.
