This section of the Highway ROW stretches from British Columbia to Southern Yukon.
Our screening activities identified 32 contaminated sites found at former military bases, airstrips and construction/maintenance yards. Arcadis developed remediation plans for 17 of the 32 sites, and assessed and deactivated 450km of roads, reducing driver risk.
Arcadis developed a GIS geodatabase that monitors environmental liabilities along the highway and the progress of remediation and mitigation projects. The geodatabase consists of a secure, web-based environmental management tool that allows managers and their designated consultants to easily access information and track the status of these sites.
