Project underscores Arcadis’s leadership in delivering intelligent, integrated urban transportation solutions that enable cities to thrive
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 11, 2026 – Arcadis, a global leader in intelligence-driven sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets, today announced the public launch of its HotSpot Mobile Parking Payment Solution in partnership with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). The launch marks the successful delivery of a fully integrated digital parking management system designed to modernize parking operations across San Francisco and enhance the user experience for residents and visitors.
With the rapid growth and evolving needs of San Francisco’s urban landscape, SFMTA sought an advanced solution to address parking management challenges. Following project award in 2025, Arcadis has now deployed the HotSpot platform citywide, seamlessly integrating with existing SFMTA systems.
The HotSpot solution introduces user-friendly mobile payment options, enabling drivers to easily locate, pay for, and manage parking directly from their smartphones. By expanding access to digital, smartphone-based payments, the system improves convenience and accessibility while streamlining parking operations for city staff.
The launch represents a key milestone in SFMTA’s broader strategy to modernize transportation infrastructure and deliver a more efficient, connected mobility ecosystem. An enhanced digital experience is expected to reduce administrative burden, improve compliance, and support more effective management of curb space.
HotSpot builds on Arcadis’s proven expertise in delivering advanced transportation and parking solutions. This experience in integrating scalable, digital platforms, and working closely with clients such as the SFMTA has been instrumental in bringing San Francisco’s vision for urban mobility to life.
Rahul Mehra, Global Portfolio Director for Revenue Systems from Arcadis, said: "The launch of HotSpot in San Francisco demonstrates Arcadis’s commitment to delivering practical, user-centric solutions that improve how cities function day to day.
