The UN Global Compact


As part of our commitment to the UN Global Compact, each year Arcadis releases a Communication on Progress, which outlines our efforts to operate responsibly and in accordance with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. The GRI Standards

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the developer of the world’s most widely-used standards for corporate sustainability reporting. We use the GRI Standards for our sustainability disclosures, to enhance transparency with all our stakeholders. These disclosures are part of our annual integrated report . CDP

Formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, CDP is an international organization that collects data and produces guidance, for investors, companies, and cities, on climate change, water and forestry. CDP’s mission is to see thriving economies that works for people and the planet in the long term. Arcadis discloses its performance on Climate Change to CDP.

Sustainalytics

Sustainalytics provides environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings, which are designed to help investors identify and understand companies' financially material ESG risks at both the security and portfolio levels.

Arcadis has lowest ESG risk out of 264 companies ranked

EcoVadis

EcoVadis, founded in 2007, is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 75,000 rated companies. The methodology is built on international sustainability standards and the Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: environment, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is a set of international standards for environmental management systems. This helps us to identify, manage, monitor and control environmental issues in a holistic manner, minimizing our negative impacts and continually improving our environmental performance. As of July 2023, approximately 78% of Arcadis operating companies are ISO14001 certified. To view our ISO 14001 certificates, click on the links below.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is a set of international standards dealing with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the seven quality management principles that underlie the family of standards. As of the end of 2021, more than 90% of all Arcadis operating companies are ISO 9001 certified. To view our ISO 9001 certificates, click on the links below.

Health and Safety

We have a global commitment to health & safety, embodied in management system designed to standardize health & safety practices across the company, while allowing for the nuances of local culture, client expectations and regulation. Due to these nuances we certify our health and safety management systems at the local level. As of the end of 2021, approximately 60% of Arcadis operating companies are ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001 certified. To view our health and safety certificates, click on the links below.
