Sydney, August 15th, 2022 – Arcadis, the leading global Design and Consultancy organisation for natural and built assets, today announced new appointments within the Australia Pacific mobility business.
Arcadis has a strong reputation in the region as a leader in connected, sustainable, and client-focused solutions that address evolving demands in the mobility market.
Joining Arcadis as the new Sales Director for Mobility is Cindy Williams. Cindy is a mobility expert with over 20 years’ experience in the government and consulting sectors. A proven leader, Cindy led a successful career in WSP Canberra, RPS and several Government Departments.
Cindy’s stellar achievements and experience stem from her keen ability to connect with clients and drive a work-winning culture by effectively collaborating with diverse teams. Since starting her career for Gold Coast City Council, Cindy has then served as Assistant Director for Airport Planning for the Department of Infrastructure, and Project Manager for RPS. Cindy also managed project approvals for ACT Government- Capital Metro Agency.
Sydney-based transport planner Nicole Vukic assumes the role of National Business Leader for Transport Planning and Advisory. A respected leader in her field, Nicole has over 20 years’ experience working with both the public and private sector to facilitate multi modal mobility solutions that support the creation of great places and enable the efficient movement of people and goods.
Under Nicole’s leadership, the Australian transport planning team has expanded quickly, working on a diverse range of multi modal projects, firmly establishing the team as leading experts on critical mobility infrastructure projects.
Michael Downing, with a remarkable career focused on infrastructure investment and project delivery, has been appointed as Business Leader for Project Management, Construction Management, and Independent Assurance Services (IAS).
With several leadership roles under his belt, most recently as the interim CEO Asia Pacific for Blue Visions Consulting’s Project Services Group, Michael’s experience spans all sectors with the last decade focusing on multi-billion-dollar capital programs in rail, road, aviation and ports. He is also focused on emerging technologies, data science, and analytics to enhance delivery performance and decision-making. His people-first approach and focus on growing and developing people align strongly to the Arcadis culture.
Ms. Williams said: “I look forward to working with our key clients to understanding their challenges and project drivers and pair this with Arcadis’s knowledge and innovative solutions. The new appointments support Arcadis’ new Global structure based on three new global business areas, namely, Places (buildings and urban development), Mobility (transport) and Resilience (energy, water and environmental consulting). These monumental changes in the Amsterdam-based business are in line its three-year business strategy to provide focus, global scale, and strengthen the sustainable and digital offering to its clients.
