Accelerating the future of semiconductors and AI at NY CREATES 

The growing demand for advanced semiconductor technology requires infrastructure that can keep pace with rapid innovation. We provide comprehensive engineering and consultancy solutions for NY CREATES at the Albany NanoTech Complex, a publicly owned semiconductor R&D facility in North America. 

By managing the sustainable design and construction of specialized cleanroom environments, we help secure the infrastructure required for next-generation AI and logic technologies.

Utrecht sewage treatment plant – Netherlands

Arcadis supported the development of a new energy‑efficient wastewater treatment plant for the Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden Water Board in Utrecht. The plant purifies up to 75 million litres of wastewater daily, removes twice as much nitrogen and phosphates as the previous facility, and uses 30 % less energy than conventional systems, helping improve water quality and reduce noise and odour impacts for local residents. Arcadis’ role included design, project management, technical support, and coordination of civil engineering, process technology, mechanical and electrical engineering, and process automation.

 

Biotech manufacturing facility – USA

Arcadis provided comprehensive engineering services for the renovation and expansion of a new clinical manufacturing facility for a biotechnology leader. The project included schematic design through construction documentation, process piping walkdowns, and early Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) support for facilities producing clinical and pre‑clinical mRNA products to meet FDA and EMEA standards. By beginning conceptual design early, the team reduced program risk and accelerated the delivery timeline, supporting a facility capable of flexible production and rapid response to client needs.
