China is arguably at the center of digital innovation, attracting attention and investment from both the State and private tech giants. In March this year, Alibaba chairman Daniel Zhang, spoke to shareholders of the “unstoppable” digital transformation of the economy and society. And their growth plans are ambitious. Arcadis has partnered with Alibaba for over four years, delivering cost and commercial management services across their project sites including the Alibaba DAMO Academy which dedicated to exploring the unknown through scientific and technological research and innovation, supporting Alibaba’s growth plans and the DAMO Academy’s pursuit of the betterment of humanity.
Most recently, Alibaba appointed Arcadis to deliver cost and commercial management service on their new Cainiao Xihu Yungu project in Hangzhou. When complete the development will serve as the headquarters for Cainiao, Alibaba’s logistics arm, and support the company’s market-leading technology with world-class facilities.
