This follows the recent news that Arcadis was once again recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality for the second year in a row by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).

75% of Australian workers support or strongly support their organisation taking action to create a workplace which is diverse and inclusive.

Arcadis actively promotes inclusiveness across the workplace, creating an environment in which each individual has equal opportunity to achieve his or her full potential, and where employees feel respected and empowered to have a role in the decisions that affect them.

Jacob Grech, HR Director Australia Pacific, Arcadis: ‘‘We believe diverse people working together yields the most valuable and innovative ideas.

“Joining the Diversity Council of Australia is part of our on-going journey to becoming a truly diverse workplace. While we have made significant strides in recent years, we must continue to bring new ideas and diverse teams into Arcadis,” Grech said.

DCA has over 500 members, many of whom are Australia’s business diversity leaders and biggest employers. DCA member organisations have access to unique research, exciting events, comprehensive resources and unrivalled expertise across the diversity and inclusion (D&I) spectrum.

DCA, formerly known as the Council for Equal Opportunity in Employment Ltd, was established in 1985 as a joint initiative of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Business Council of Australia to demonstrate the business community's commitment to equal opportunity for women.

Their focus since then has expanded to cover all aspects of diversity in employment, reflecting changes in practice to embrace all areas of the diversity of human resources.
