Arcadis Hong Kong is proud to announce it is a Sponsor of the Volvo Ocean Race Hong Kong Stopover 2017-2018. Celebrating the first time the event has entered Hong Kong waters, Arcadis is working with Volvo Ocean Race to share the excitement of this premier sailing race with the city’s residents and raise awareness of how to improve quality of life.
Waterfront resilience, improving livability in cities and reducing plastic waste in the ocean are challenges that we all need to address. Together with the Volvo Ocean Race Hong Kong Stopover 2017-2018, we will showcase some of the great work we’re doing in the region to help cities across Asia improve quality of life. Our iconic project the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal will play host to the world famous race, with some of the world’s sport's most-skilled sailors navigating Victoria Harbour to win the Hong Kong leg, for the first time. The programme of events includes the sustainable network evening titled future-proofing resilient waterfronts and the Arcadis Pro-Am Race Hong Kong Stopover, in which a combination professionals and amateurs team up to compete in a series of mini-races that mirror the main event. John Batten, the Arcadis Global Cities Director, will be discussing the challenges and opportunities for Hong Kong at an exclusive networking evening, co-hosted with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce at the Volvo Ocean Race Village, titled Future-Proofing Resilient Waterfronts.
