NEW YORK, NY – September 23, 2025 — Arcadis, a global leader in intelligence-driven sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets, today announced that it has joined forces with Schneider Electric in the Accelerating Resilient Infrastructure Initiative to rapidly scope, finance and deploy resilient local energy systems, such as microgrids, while federal incentives remain available.
With current federal incentives for clean energy projects set to expire soon, communities have a limited window to secure funding and accelerate the deployment of resilient energy infrastructure. Taking action now is crucial to maximize available support and avoid significantly higher costs in the future. This collaboration is designed to help organizations fast-track resilient local energy infrastructure deployment across the United States and unlock up to $7.5 billion in capital financing for U.S. energy resilience projects.

- Turnkey microgrid and EV charging solutions: This consortium is offering integrated hardware and software for microgrids, solar, storage and EV charging, helping communities qualify for tax credits and invest in long-term resilience.
- No upfront costs through innovative financing models: Energy as a service and energy savings performance contracts convert capital costs into predictable payments or use guaranteed savings to fund upgrades, making resilience investments more accessible.

- Reduced complexity with a collaborative ecosystem: More than 20 partners combine digital solutions, financing and delivery to accelerate resilient infrastructure nationwide.

By 2028, the U.S. power grid may reach a tipping point where peak electricity supply cannot meet peak demand, jeopardizing grid reliability. The Accelerating Resilient Infrastructure Initiative addresses this challenge by expanding distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar panels, battery storage, geothermal heat pumps, and EV charging stations. Deploying these technologies helps communities reduce dependence on the centralized grid, contain rising utility costs, enhance energy resilience, and support long-term sustainability.
