Construction industry’s charity CRASH moves into 80Fen

CRASH, the construction industry’s charity, is moving into 80Fen this week.

Six colleagues from CRASH will move to a dedicated space in Arcadis’ Fenchurch Street-based office.

CRASH charity helps homelessness and hospice organisations with all aspects of refurbishment and construction.

Arcadis has been a Corporate Patron of CRASH since 2007. Working together across the UK, Arcadis supports CRASH with professional expertise and fundraising.

A group of eight Arcadians are seconded to CRASH as Project Advisors and donate their time and expertise to visit the charities who apply for help. Through CRASH, Arcadis helps charities make informed decisions about their buildings.

Alan Brookes, Global Chief Executive Officer at Arcadis, has been involved with CRASH since 2008 , and recently stepped down as Chairman following ten years on the charity’s Board.

Commenting on the charity’s move to 80Fen, Alan Brookes said:

“At Arcadis, we’re all extremely proud to support CRASH and look forward to welcoming them to 80Fen. We have a long history supporting the charity, and for them to be part of our office with their own brand signage will be a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to learn more about their work. The work CRASH does makes a real difference to people and communities at some of the most difficult times in their lives. Seeing the work CRASH does to improve quality of life is inspirational.”

Francesca Roberts, Chief Executive at CRASH, said: “Moving to 80Fen is a significant step for CRASH, who has been based in Chiswick since the charity’s formation in 1996.

“Our new central London location brings us closer to some of our Corporate Patrons. We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our new space as we continue to construct places that care for people who are homeless and children and adults who need hospice care.

“My sincere thanks to Arcadis for giving a good home to the industry’s charity – this is a brilliant and practical way to help CRASH and will have a positive impact on everything we do. We are delighted to join you at 80Fen and look forward to meeting you and sharing your collaborative workspaces.”

CRASH was founded and is sustained by the construction industry. Relying on the industry for donations of professional expertise, construction products and fundraising to deliver its charity projects. With a healthy project pipeline moving into 2024, CRASH will continue to deliver meaningful social impact to communities across the UK with the help of the construction industry and the people within it.

Arcadis moved into 80Fen in 2021. 80Fen has been designed as an environment for collaboration, creating social connections, and engaging with clients, supporting the wellbeing of employees.
