Arcadis has been appointed to National Grid’s new Global Management Consultancy Framework, which will begin imminently.

Arcadis has been appointed on key lots to provide a range of consulting services across National Grid’s UK and US businesses. Building on its long-standing relationship with National Grid across design, programme management and environmental services, Arcadis will play a key role in helping National Grid realise its ambitions and objectives through the new framework.

Electricity networks will be vital to achieving net zero targets by decarbonising the UK’s energy supply, and National Grid are at the heart of this revolution.

As an organisation that embeds sustainability into everything we do, Arcadis will provide procurement advisory to support National Grid’s position at the centre of a transitioning energy system, with expertise in cost reduction and supplier relationship management to obtain best value from its supply chain across its electricity and gas businesses.

In addition, Arcadis will bring strategic IT advisory to help National Grid with their technology and cyber security goals, and blend it with our track record in organisational design for complex asset owners to support IT functional strategies.

Frank Goossensen, Executive Sponsor for National Grid at Arcadis, said: “The energy sector is complex, critical, and changing, driven by government decarbonisation agendas.

“National Grid is a valued global key client that is at the centre of this transition and we are delighted to be appointed to this framework to support them with the journey. This reflects our expertise in people and technology consultancy to support complex programmes.

“We are extremely proud to be part of this consultancy framework as it illustrates our strong advisory capabilities that are critical for our clients.”
