NY CREATES, a world-leading research and development facility and innovation hub for next-generation semiconductor technologies for the semiconductor industry, was expanding one of their facilities to accelerate R&D efforts. This project was carried out under a rigorous schedule on a challenging site, that required immediate attention to mitigate potential risks affecting equipment, materials, and resources.

We provided comprehensive design build services, including all aspects of architecture, engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction management. By establishing an interactive environment that integrated the client with the design team’s process, we were able to create a dynamic dialogue and facilitate early decision-making, which positively impacted the outcome of all phases of the project.

We began by identifying early procurement packages in parallel with the design and use of advanced open-source BIM/VDC tools, fabrication level model development, and long-standing relationships with turnkey specialist vendors. We then leveraged modular and off-site manufacturing where feasible, and this method ultimately achieved design to target value, promoting improved safety and quality while also significantly reducing cost and schedule to delivery.
