John Horst to lead North American corporate development and innovation for Arcadis

Expanded role brings mergers, acquisitions, partnering together with innovation

Highlands Ranch, Colo.— Aug. 11, 2020 — Arcadis has named John Horst the executive director of corporate development and innovation for North America.

Horst will help drive the Arcadis strategy by complementing organic growth with the prioritization and execution of mergers and acquisitions, supporting technology and other important ecosystem partnerships, and supporting strategy refinement.

“John’s known for daring to shape the future. He knows our technical practices and excels in seeing the future needs of our clients and how to meet them,” said Alex Rothchild, CEO of Arcadis in North America. “His expanded role underscores the growing emphasis on innovation, both within our culture and with our clients.”

In addition to the new corporate development responsibilities, Horst will continue to support the growth of the business through innovation programs that catalyze the creativity of the Arcadis community, rapidly incubate new capabilities, onboard investment-grade talent, and promote technical dialogue across the industry.

“At Arcadis, we’re always looking for ways to improve quality of life for the organizations and communities we serve,” said Horst. “Linking innovation with corporate development is a great opportunity for us to take exciting leaps forward, even as the change around us accelerates — and our people are ready to pitch in.”

Horst joined Arcadis 22 years ago as a staff engineer and has held a number of leadership roles in technical services, innovation and client development. In this new role, Horst will serve on the executive leadership team for the region.
