Environmental Business Journal recognizes firms for growth and innovation

Highlands Ranch, Colo.March 3, 2020—Environmental Business Journal®* (EBJ), a business research publication that provides strategic business intelligence to the environmental industry, has honored Arcadis with awards for industry leadership in digital transformation, industry leadership in social contribution and overall business achievement for large firms making more than $1 billion in revenue.

The business achievement award distinguishes Arcadis for exceptional organic growth in revenue, profitability and staffing – all while maintaining a voluntary turnover rate of below 10 percent, far better than the industry average. The digital transformation award acknowledges Arcadis’ Expedition DNA digital transformation program, designed to engage all 27,000 global employees with a gamified digital training module and immersive in-person experience. The social contribution award recognizes the North American pro bono program, an initiative that brings the company’s services to underserved communities at no cost.

“Arcadis works hand-in-hand with our clients to develop creative solutions that make the most sense for them. Whether renovating a park or building a data lake, our teams are fully committed to delivering long-term value for our clients and for the people they serve,” said Kathleen Abbott, executive director of services and client programs for the company’s North American environment business.

“The dedication of our teams and our leadership to improving quality of life and transforming our own business makes these awards possible,” said John Horst, executive director of corporate development and innovation for Arcadis in North America. “Our people are creating and employing advancements that result in not just exceptional outcomes but an unparalleled customer experience.”

Abbott and Horst will accept the award at the Environmental Industry Summit XVIII March 19 in San Diego, Calif.
