Sustainable architecture and integrated design services

In a rapidly evolving world, architecture plays a central role in shaping city centers and guiding the growth of urban areas into connected, livable communities. By bringing together our global network of designers, engineers, and digital specialists, we deliver assets built for long-term value and measurable improvements of quality of life.

Architecture designed for performance, resilience, and lasting value

Sustainable architecture is at a critical point as cities face rising environmental risks and accelerating net-zero commitments. This calls for a shift from traditional linear design to an integrated model that combines design, engineering, digital optimization, and environmental science. The market is also moving beyond compliance, demanding clear, measurable performance outcomes.

Architecture must serve as both civic expression and long-term risk mitigation. Achieving this requires early collaboration across structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical disciplines, as well as translating complex environmental and societal priorities into practical, high-performing built assets.

Crafted for performance, designed for people

We deliver built environments that blend design quality with operational excellence, especially in complex and highly regulated sectors.

Pioneering carbon-neutral design at The Curv

Vancouver’s demand for high-density housing must align with net-zero ambitions. The Curv, a 60-story residential tower, is designed to meet the Passive House standard at an unprecedented scale.

As lead architect and landscape designer, we addressed the technical requirements for an airtight, highly insulated envelope while maintaining a distinctive architectural expression. Modular wall systems and a triple-glazed façade boosted efficiency and reduced site waste. The development is projected to use up to 90% less heating and cooling energy than a conventional high-rise, offering 501 homes, including 25% dedicated to social housing.

Balancing aviation limits and coastal resilience at River Green Village

River Green Village, a 27-acre waterfront development in Richmond, faced strict height restrictions linked to Vancouver International Airport and long-term flood risks.

As master planner and design architect, we developed stepped building forms to comply with glide-slope constraints while maximizing density and riverfront access. We also supported upgrades to the local dike system and added new public access points to the Middle Arm Trail, creating a flood-resilient waterfront community that reconnects the city with its riverfront.

Securing infrastructure funding with data-driven clarity in DC

The District of Columbia Government manages over $14 billion in public assets but struggled with fragmented data that limited visibility into asset condition and capital priorities.

We implemented our Enterprise Decision Analytics platform to consolidate data into a unified view. Predictive modeling enabled scenario analyses, revealing investment strategies to reduce failure risk and maximize return. Improved transparency and financial planning helped the district achieve one of the highest bond ratings in the US, strengthening its ability to secure infrastructure funding at favorable rates.
