The contract further strengthens Arcadis' longstanding partnership with public-sector agencies across New York City.
NEW YORK CITY – NOVEMBER 3, 2026 - Arcadis, a global design and consultancy organization for natural and built assets, today announced that it has been awarded a professional services requirements contract by the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) to provide architectural and ancillary engineering design services for projects throughout Manhattan and the Bronx.
Arcadis will support DCAS in advancing critical capital improvement projects and modernizing facilities that enable essential public services for residents and City employees. The award builds on Arcadis' extensive track record delivering complex infrastructure, buildings and public-sector programs throughout New York.
The agreement includes an initial three-year term, with options for a three-year renewal and an additional one-year extension, creating a long-term framework to support DCAS' capital improvement objectives across Manhattan and the Bronx. Individual projects will be authorized through work orders, providing the city with flexible access to a full suite of design and engineering services as needs arise.
Gerald Forsburg, senior architect at Arcadis, said: “This award reflects the depth of our New York team’s capabilities, our holistic understanding of municipal project delivery and our commitment to helping cities improve the facilities that serve their communities. We are proud to partner with DCAS to deliver projects that create lasting value for New York City.”
Ellen Wright, principal, practice group manager for government and civic in North America at Arcadis, said: “This contract represents an important opportunity to help shape the future of public facilities across New York City. By combining technical expertise with a collaborative delivery approach, we look forward to helping DCAS create more resilient, sustainable and efficient spaces that support government operations and enhance the experience of employees, visitors and residents.”
