Arcadis achieves international cyber security certification

Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions, has announced it has achieved the IEC 62443 2-4 certification through TÜV NORD’s Cyber Competence Center.

One of the first organizations in the industry to achieve the certification, Arcadis is accredited as both a System Integrator, and a Maintenance Provider at maturity level two, meaning that its clients will benefit from a ‘through-life’ approach to cyber security, from security design, risk management, and long-term secure operations.

IEC 62443 2-4 is an international series of standards that focuses on security requirements that Industrial Automation and Control System (IACS) providers must provide to clients. The standard is designed not just to be a technical feature, but a set of behaviours through a system lifecycle.

Sandra Konings, Global Information Security Officer, Arcadis, said:It is no secret that we live in a world where infrastructure and industrial control systems are being threatened and targeted with increasing frequency.”

Operational Technology organizations require robust and resilient cyber security to safeguard data and assets, where Industrial Control Systems are critical to day-to-day activities. By achieving this certification, Arcadis provides the confidence our clients need to keep those assets secure, no matter what sector they operate in.
