Macau, 09 February 2026 – Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy firm for natural and built assets, is proud to announce its appointment as Quantity Surveying (QS) consultant for two transformative projects commissioned by the Macau Government: the Civic Sports Park on the former Yat Yuen Dog Racing Track site and the Macao Artificial Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. These projects mark significant milestones in Macau’s commitment to sustainable urban development and enhanced quality of life.
Civic Sports Park: Enabling Active, Healthy Communities
Located on the former Yat Yuen Dog Racing Track, the Civic Sports Park will span 40,425 square meters and be delivered in two phases. The park will feature multi-purpose sports halls for swimming, basketball, football, badminton, volleyball, climbing, and skating, as well as dedicated children’s facilities and outdoor athletic tracks. Underground parking will accommodate over 900 vehicles. Arcadis will provide full cost and contract management services to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery, while maintaining access to adjacent sports facilities during construction.
Macao Artificial Island Wastewater Treatment Plant: Driving Environmental Progress
Situated on the Zhuhai-Macau Port Artificial Island, this advanced wastewater treatment facility will improve Macau’s sewage management and environmental education. The development includes a conveyance tunnel, modern treatment buildings, support infrastructure, and an exhibition hall for public engagement. Arcadis will deliver comprehensive cost and contract management services, supporting the successful and sustainable implementation of this landmark project.
