In the Netherlands, we have joined a program that gives job opportunities to people with a refugee status. We are helping them build a career in a new country. Ayoub Choban fled war-torn Iraq and came to the Netherlands, with his wife and children. He took part in the Future Academy and ultimately earned himself a position with our company.

The Future Academy is an initiative from the foundation New Dutch Connections, which offers activities, courses, and workshops for young people with a refugee status in the Netherlands. The goal is to help them develop their talents and dreams. Arcadis participates in the Future Academy to help these people expand their professional networks and find work. The employers’ initiative Refugee Talent Hub also played a role in suggesting a pool of highly educated refugee status holders.
