Travel-IQ, Arcadis’ Advanced Traveler Information System, enables public agencies to manage and disseminate real-time data for enhanced safety and traffic operations. As a powerful traveler information platform, it streamlines the capture, validation, and publication of travel-impacting events—roadwork, incidents, and special events—supporting effective road event management and event traffic management.
Travel-IQ distributes authoritative updates through agency websites and mobile apps, third-party navigation apps, social media, and personalized alerts. Beyond visualizing network status—including incidents, closures, congestion, camera feeds, road conditions, truck restrictions, and bridge alerts—Travel-IQ operates as a standards-based data hub for network event management. It produces and consumes real-time feeds for Work Zone Data Exchange and connected and automated vehicle V2X use cases, including Traveler Information Messages and Basic Safety Messages.
Agencies use Travel-IQ as both a traveler information system and an event information system to fuse data from sensors and traffic management center systems, manage work zones and lane closures, and publish secure, reliable APIs. OEMs, fleets, navigation providers, researchers, and transportation network users can leverage authoritative information to improve safety and mobility.

User-friendly event reporting and management
Travel-IQ streamlines incident and event reporting for public agencies, minimizing clicks and manual data entry. Users can quickly generate events by selecting a map location, with automated data association powered by the intelligent Travel-IQ platform. The familiar map interface enhances situational awareness with traffic speeds, weather updates, and live camera feeds. Field personnel can also report directly using the mobile event reporting functionality, strengthening road event management capabilities.
Consistent communication to a wide audience
Travel-IQ serves as a unified event information system that guarantees consistent, authoritative messaging across every dissemination channel. With each event entry, the system automatically generates, validates, and synchronizes updates for agency staff, regional partners, the traveling public, and third-party technology and application providers.
Events are published to the Travel-IQ public website and mobile app, 511 and IVR systems, dynamic message signs, social media, email and SMS, and third-party applications such as Waze CCP, navigation providers, and fleet platforms. Channel-specific formatting, including WZDx JSON, and real-time change propagation eliminate conflicts and outdated content. Secure APIs and webhooks allow partners to subscribe to authoritative feeds, supporting coordinated network event management.

Alerts are powered by geofenced safety zones and real-time agency feeds (and CAV/V2X messages such as TIM/BSM), with on-device logic to keep notifications working even when connectivity is intermittent—so drivers receive timely, relevant information wherever they travel.
