of highwayA $A850 million, 25 kilometer Pacific Highway upgrade between Sapphire and Woolgoolga in northern New South Wales created seamless carriageways, modern bridges and better local roads, but made sure they all met an uncompromising environmental agenda.
Overseeing and verifying such an ambitious project means fast and expert review of over 1,200 design packages and 405 design lots to find design inconsistencies as early as possible to reduce delays while improving design solutions long term.
Major works in such an important environmental corridor required smarter approaches to flora and fauna protection, while open dialogue with all community stakeholders meant minimal impact on businesses, farms, schools and homes.
Better roads help to improve road safety, eliminate traffic black spots, reduce travel times and help local traffic by improving travel options other than the highway.
