Hot Fire Training Ground Melbourne

Raising Australian aviation fire-fighting readiness to international standards by creating Australia's first Hot Fire Training Simulator.

To raise Australian aviation fire-fighting readiness to international standards, Arcadis helped to create a facility with the country's first Hot Fire Training Simulator centring on a mock-up of a hybrid airliner made of COR-TEN Steel.

Other facilities included a steel framed administration and training centre, a large post tensioned concrete pad to collect stormwater and fire-fighting operational runoff and a waste water treatment plant with buried underground storage tanks.

Providing a broad range of engineering services, Arcadis delivered a highly technical facility that now enables up to 4 training sessions a day, 5 days a week.
