Whether supporting our local communities with the Local Sparks Program, responding to urgent needs through global initiatives like the Shelter Program in partnership with UN-Habitat, or investing in the next generation through STEAM education with the Talent Next Program, we focus our efforts where they are needed most. By aligning our technical expertise with real-world challenges, we help address urgent challenges using sustainable solutions to help build more inclusive, climate resilient, and sustainable futures for people around the world. 

How We Make a Difference

Our Community Impact platform brings together three programs that target positive social value globally, locally, and for the future: 

Shelter Program 

For more than 15 years, Arcadis has delivered pro bono technical expertise to UN Habitat, in communities in developing countries that are facing urgent urban challenges, via the Shelter Program. 

Arcadis’ technical teams actively participate through volunteering their skills for Shelter projects globally.  The Shelter Program creates safer, more resilient cities wherever support is needed most, while providing our people with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. 

Local Sparks

In the communities where we live and work, Local Sparks funds our people to lead projects that address environmental, social, and infrastructure priorities. By applying our expertise to locally identified challenges, we strengthen community relationships and demonstrate our sustained commitment to improving quality of life.

 

 

Talent Next 

Looking ahead, Talent Next invests in the next generation of problem-solvers to address tomorrow’s sustainability and infrastructure challenges, by enabling our people to engage in STEAM education and mentorship. By building skills and expanding opportunities, we help shape a diverse, future-ready workforce – delivering positive outcomes for students, communities and our industry.
