of enough source water for drilling operationsArcadis developed a regional numerical groundwater flow model to pinpoint the optimal water source. Our team collaborated on a front-end engineering and design (FEED) report that documented the water supply wells, treatment of anticipated hydrogen sulfide in the groundwater through advanced oxidation, and water transmission pipelines to storage in the vicinity of the planned production wells.
Potential environmental issues along pipeline routes were appraised and brought to the client’s attention, including threatened and endangered species habitats, historical and archaeological sites, water and road crossings, state/federal land and property owner concerns. Our team evaluated the costs and environmental and permitting implications of several alternatives, and advised on the merits of multiple proposed routes, including coordination with regulatory authorities.
