With nine campuses spread throughout Los Angeles County, The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is one of the largest community college districts in the nation. Arcadis has been serving LACCD since 2002, helping them to plan and deliver over $9.6 billion worth of bond funded improvements. Arcadis currently has eight employees assigned as full-time, on-site staff dedicated to various roles and responsibilities throughout the District including two employees who are the College Project Directors overseeing all work at two of the nine campuses. Additionally, Arcadis has over 40 subconsultant staff assigned as full-time, on-site staff dedicated to various roles and responsibilities throughout the District including three more College Project Director roles.

One of the most unique colleges in LACCD is the Los Angeles Trade Tech College (LATTC), located right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. LATTC has the most diverse program offerings in terms of technical career trades of any community college west of the Mississippi. Founded in 1925 as the Frank Wiggins Trade School, LATTC became part of the district in 1969 and is approaching 100 years of service to the community, making it the oldest of the nine campuses.

In 2016, Arcadis was assigned to the LATTC College Project Director position. With more than 20,000 students and growing every year, LATTC’s aging facilities needed an upgrade. With Arcadis’ help in planning, design, construction, maintenance and management services, LATTC has several new buildings underway that include the Culinary Arts, Construction Maintenance & Utilities and Advanced Transportation & Manufacturing, as well as Design & Media Arts programs’ facilities. The estimated completion date for these buildings is between 2020 and 2025. Since 2001, over 20 projects have been completed on this campus.
