New position aims to advance sustainability for clients, operations and people
Highlands Ranch, Colorado — Jan. 24, 2020 — Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD) has named Jessica Francisco as director of sustainability for the North America region. In this role, Francisco will lead the sustainability strategy across three areas of focus:
• Connect new insights and comprehensive solutions to help clients achieve their sustainability goals, reducing environmental impact while balancing cost and risk.
• Manage the company’s environmental, social and corporate governance impacts, such as reducing the carbon footprint of operations.
• Advance initiatives that support Arcadis employees in volunteering their time and expertise to improve the quality of life in communities where they live and work.

A key part of the role will be exploring how to apply the latest tools and technologies, such as design thinking workshops and automated greenhouse gas measurements, to broaden Arcadis’ sustainability consulting practice.

Francisco joins Arcadis from 3Degrees, where she was a leader on the renewable energy and climate consulting team responsible for helping clients develop and implement strategies to meet their renewable energy and sustainability goals. Her 15 years of sustainability experience also includes leading multidisciplinary teams in the design and execution of clean energy programs across Northern California for Pacific Gas & Electric customers. She has held a number of leadership roles in business strategy, program and portfolio management, and operations management in both consulting and corporate roles at leading firms.
