Preliminary risk assessments to build a privately owned and operated rail line on the Queensland coast.

To continue to expand its coal operations, Alpha Coal wanted to build a privately owned and operated rail line to the Queensland coast, with options including both a new dedicated, multi-user rail system as well as existing rail infrastructure.

To secure a range of accreditations from regulators, Arcadis conducted preliminary risk assessments, advised on the structure and planning of the Safety Management System, and analysed the legislative requirements for compliance.
