Arcadis to Provide Cost Estimating and Scheduling Services for Miami-Dade Aviation Department

Miami — May 14, 2019 — Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the leading global Design & Consultancy for natural and built assets, will support the RIB U.S. Cost-led team selected to provide Program Controls services for current, future and proposed construction projects for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD).

“We are thrilled to work with U.S. Cost and to serve Miami-Dade County long into the future,” said Wassim Selman, president of Arcadis’ infrastructure business line. “Miami International Airport is undertaking an ambitious and exciting program and we’re committed to bringing our best toward its success.”

Among other projects, Arcadis will support U.S. Cost with process evaluation, risk management, document controls, mitigation/acceleration/recovery scheduling and claims avoidance/forensic analysis/dispute resolution services for MIA’s estimated $4- to $5-billion new capital improvement program. The program is designed to make MIA a more efficient passenger and cargo hub.

Some of the improvements will include a post-security connector between concourses E and F, new hardstands and apron areas, cargo facilities, and other projects designed to enhance operations.

The services provided by this team will help MDAD deliver this project, among many others, over the course of the $30-million contract that will last at least five years (and could extend up to 10).

“It’s a privilege to play a role in the future of such an important airport,” said Rick Cianfaglione, Arcadis Senior Vice President. “We look forward to collaborating with RIB U.S. Cost to bring our global experience delivering innovative solutions to MDAD.”

RIB U.S. Cost has worked with MDAD since 2004. Over that time, the airport has completed $6.4 billion in capital improvements.
