The 240-bed facility will replace three existing facilities on the historic campus and improve quality of life for veterans
Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the leading global design and consultancy for natural and built assets, has been selected to provide construction management services for the Department of General Services (DGS) and California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) for a new 240-bed skilled nursing facility.
The historic Yountville Veterans Home in Yountville, California is the oldest and largest in the state, providing long-term care to approximately 850 elderly and disabled veterans and their spouses, including support for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and traumatic brain injuries. The new $300 million skilled nursing facility will replace and combine three existing facilities on the 615-acre campus and add approximately 80 to 100 new employees.

Design of the approximately 285,000 square-foot facility will reflect the historic architectural style of the campus and include main and satellite kitchens, dining rooms, exam rooms, nurses’ stations, pharmacy, laundry facilities, resident outdoor spaces, parking, roadways, and other site improvements.
