HR Manager

Lead the HR team based in India in developing and providing expertise and solutions in all HR related fields to customer base, including regional responsibilities. This role is a member of HR leadership in Asia with primary interface to the India leadership teams.

Job Description:

India Specific

  • Identify HR issues and trends, and use these insights to advise the India leadership team on appropriate action to address these
  • Represent the business externally to gain insights and knowledge which can be brought back to the business. Additionally network, raising business profile
  • Work in collaboration with the business to grow India, understanding our pipeline of opportunities and where we will be able to source talent
  • Lead all HR service to India, ensuring that the HR plan is delivered consistently, and in line with best practice/legal requirements and connecting well with other HR experts for support
  • Using feedback from exit interview processes to inform resourcing and development planning, or manage any risk
  • Lead the successful delivery of key initiatives in: Reward; Learning & Development; and other HR areas, ensuring return of investment is highlighted and tracked to demonstrate value add
  • Ensure the delivery to the required objectives of the India HR Team
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis policies and procedures on Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity etc
  • Ensure effective management and administration of all employee records and payroll data including budgets to Data Protection standards. Oversee management and administration of pension schemes
  • Provide regular reports to the Board and Management Team on performance and measures for performance improvement

Learning & Development

  • Be able to design and deliver training initiatives; including working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Manage the talent development programme for India and develop ways of nurturing talent and all levels of the business
  • Facilitate a performance culture, ensuring that annual performance management processes are delivered consistently across the region and that poor performance and risk is managed and minimised
  • Deliver to the service and location training plan, enabling team to demonstrate learning has taken place for all of our people against agreed measures of success
  • Support leaders in the development and delivery of their people plans

Recruitment & Resourcing

  • Ensure that resourcing needs are identified from business planning processes and delivered via appropriate recruitment mechanism
  • Work with Regional Talent Acquisition Advisor (Asia) to use the right sourcing tactics for each role, ensuring we reduce time to hire and cost of hire
  • Work closely with specialist (Reward, International) in enabling key international moves to take place, both intra and inter location/region

Regional Accountabilities

  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the sub-regional teams in supporting projects and ensuring that it is delivered consistently. This will require working with wider stakeholder group and working closely with the wider HR team

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management
  • At least a minimum of 6+ years of experience at HR leaderhship level, including participation in the development and implementation of policy
  • Experience working in professional services/consultancy or partnership is highly desirable
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills
  • Ability to influence in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities
  • Strong change management skills and experience, in particular around transition management, risk management, and project management
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills and experience of managing team members across different locations
  • Excellent understanding of internal client function, market and industry issues is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues and to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the business
  • Proficient in analysing data in order to identify trends and develop solutions

  • Flexiblity to travel for office visits (if required)
