Arcadis, the leading global design and consultancy firm for natural and built assets, has confirmed the appointment of Sophie Brewitt as its new Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The move is a key part of Arcadis’s wider growth strategy, which has seen the company realigning its marketing and communications function to reflect its increasingly global voice.
Reporting directly to Stephan Ritter, Group Executive for Innovation & Transformation, Sophie will be responsible for driving a fully integrated marketing and communications strategy worldwide. Building on her former role as Director of UK Marketing and Communications, Sophie will be ensuring the spread of best practice across all regions, embedding a co-ordinated, ‘one-team’ approach that reflects the increasingly globalised nature of the business and its clients.
Under Sophie’s three-year leadership of the UK marketing and communications function, Arcadis has enjoyed a growing reputation as one of the leading voices in the industry. The evolution of the UK brand has been recognised with several prestigious accolades, including the award of ‘Superbrand’ status for two consecutive years running.
Prior to joining Arcadis, Sophie held senior UK and international marketing posts at CBRE, FTI Consulting, Grosvenor and most recently a tech start-up. Sophie has a track record in transforming marketing functions from the ground-up; moving her teams away from reactive tactical support and towards the creation of strategic value.
