The Executive Board has earmarked Digital as a corporate priority in the 2017-2019 strategy. Digital will significantly determine the competitiveness of Arcadis in the future. We have therefore stepped up our management focus and investments in this space. To that effect, we have started to bring together a small core team to further define our digital agenda and establish areas of client led priorities that we will focus on and invest in.

Purpose of the Job

The Global HR Lead Digital Transformation is a critical role in driving organizational transformation and ensuring our people and culture strategy aligns to and supports our changing business strategy.

 (S)he will be the confidant of the Chief Digital Officer and his direct reports, and act as a strategic business partner, change agent and project manager to fulfill the business objectives through human capital and people leadership.

Scope: global remit

Main responsibilities

  • Change management
  • Lead the change management component of the digitalization we require in our company. Ensure our people feel able to visualize and equip themselves for this new future, feel motivated by it rather than fear it, understand the client drivers, the ecosystem to operate in etc;
  • As change manager work together with Internal Communications and global and regional HR to define overall change for specific areas (particularly related to Global Solutions);
  • Analyze and provide guidance on the Digital team’s current organizational state and future requirements. Design and implement solutions to meet business needs;
  • Work with the global digital team leads to build or further professionalize digital communities like the (already active) global BIM community;
  • Assists in the articulation of the values and culture of the organization and proposes HR management activities which support the organization’s culture.
  • Embrace the four realities of Digital (user experience, data, ecosystem and platform) in designing and implementing change management; focus on creating an employee experience that changes the context of what we do and nurture a culture in which Digital goes without saying.
  • Capability management
  • Systematic identification and analysis of Digital “people” needs in terms of size, type, capabilities and quantity of workforce to achieve its objectives and support continued growth;
  • Work closely with the Digital Academy Director and the Global L&D community to develop training and development interventions that support the business’ Digital Translator ambitions;
  • Drive talent acquisition for our Digital Workforce. Partner with the Global Talent Acquisition Community to ensure conscious, deliberate approach to attracting and retaining top talent from both inside and outside the organization;
  • Drive and support Digital leaders’ preparation for annual talent review sessions and participate as key HR partner. Lead talent reviews to identify top talent and succession planning strategies. Create and implement retention strategies and career paths to minimize unwanted attrition, particularly in business unit critical roles, specialty skill sets and in highly competitive, critical market places;
  • Lead annual salary, bonus/commission and equity planning process with leadership, ensuring highest performers are compensated in line with their business impact and contributions. Provide ongoing global compensation analyses and recommend market adjustments as needed to ensure top talent is retained. Collaborate with Global Compensation and Benefits Community to drive Global policies and processes.

Requirements

The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources, change management or digital transformation experience, including 5+ years in a complex international environment.

Minimum: bachelor's degree. Preferred: master's degree, MBA or relevant functional discipline.

Successful track record of superior global service delivery. Demonstrated track record of achieving results that contribute significantly to the business.

  • Excellent communication, advising and influencing skills;
  • Proven experience in developing strong relationships and in successfully interfacing with  all organizational levels is critical;

Demonstrated track record of delivering sustainable business results through best-in class people practices that position an organization for scale and growth;

  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate organizational change utilizing a full spectrum of change methods;
  • A versatile leader with the ability to have a strategic focus and a commitment to the day-  to-day activities by rolling up his/her sleeves and ability to inspire and empower regional teams and communities;
  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment. Team oriented consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing “win- win” solutions.
  • Experience with Project and Change Management; Self-starter with strong collaboration and team skills;
  • Must be digital savvy, pro-actively engages on market trends, latest developments and have a client solutions mindset;
  • Experience with offshore or shared service centers appreciated;
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active and result driven attitude;
  • Native language: unspecified, but mastery level business English is a must.
