The Executive Board has earmarked Digital as a corporate priority in the 2017-2019 strategy. Digital will significantly determine the competitiveness of Arcadis in the future. We will therefore step up our management focus and investments in this space. To that effect, a small core team will be brought together to further define our digital agenda and establish areas of client led priorities that we will focus on and invest in.

Job Description:

The Global Head of Digital Strategic Partnerships is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Arcadis Digital partnerships strategy with clients, technology vendors, selected players in construction value chain and institutions with a view to creating together with the core/extended Arcadis Digital teams a positive eco-system conducive of capability development and sales acceleration.

 

Key activities:

 

·        Develop and maintain a good understanding of the digital strategy of our main clients, competitors and (potential) partners to inform Arcadis Digital partnerships strategy;

·        Develop and evolve Arcadis Digital Strategic partnerships with selected clients, technology vendors, players in construction value chain and institutions (Academia, public authorities, industry groups, etc.)

·        Look at new and creative ways to create value for clients with partners and ensure Arcadis can capture its fair share of value creation through robust business model and well negotiated contracts;

·        Challenge and inspire internal and external stakeholders to find innovative ways to team up with multiples partners and clients (e.g. market places, innovative economic models, etc.) with a view to differentiating Arcadis and creating new revenue streams;

·        Build on existing partner relationships at business and/or corporate levels, and align them with Arcadis Digital ambition;

·        Lead in close cooperation with Regions, Client Development, Global Business Lines and the CIO the selection of and negotiation with strategic partners ensuring that Arcadis short and long term interests are balanced;

·        Ensure full implementation of strategic partnerships, and take the lead with relevant internal and external stakeholders in addressing potential partnership performance issues;

·        Play an active role in leveraging specific client situations and digital value propositions to bring Digital partnerships to life and accelerate adoption and identification of lessons learned.

 

 

Requirements:

The candidate should have a Master degree and at least 10+ years of experience managing digital transformation in an international B2B services environment. He/she should have a proven track record in negotiating and bringing to success innovative commercial partnerships ideally at the intersection of natural & built assets and technology/digital:

 

·        Passionate about the digital transformation of the natural & built asset space in which Arcadis plays;

·        Proven leadership capabilities in high growth environment;

·        Good fit with Arcadis culture and values;

·        Broad and strategic perspective on the global technology landscape and the way it can be leveraged in the natural & built asset space to bring Arcadis digital strategy to life;

·        Ability to inspire clients and potential partners with new ideas and discipline combined with pragmatism to implement them rapidly;

·        Credible counterpart for existing or potential partners with strong business acumen combined with contract negotiation skills;

·        Existing relationships and experience with some of our potential partners (e.g. Autodesk, SAP, IBM, Accenture, Cisco, Siemens, Google, etc.) and able to leverage his/her knowledge to drive effective negotiations;

·        Strong facilitation and leadership skills: bringing multiple stakeholders from broad backgrounds and positions together towards defined outcomes;

·        Ability to develop a plan and approach to strategic problems - communicating and mobilizing teams to deliver against the plan;

·        Self-starter, high energy, can work independently and remotely and comfortable with ambiguity;

·        Communication and relationship skills, ability to engage with a broad range of international stakeholders;

·        Ability to collaborate at various levels within and outside Arcadis Digital team to be successful;

·        Ability to work in a global matrix organization and to deal with different cultures worldwide;

·        Proactive, practical, entrepreneurial, open-minded, flexible and creative;

·        Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

·        Given the international spread of the business a certain level of flexibility in working hours is important.
