Arcadis commended for continued improvement of health and safety with HSBC

Arcadis is proud to announce it has been commended by The Lighthouse Club for its leading efforts in improving health and safety in the Hong Kong construction industry. In a category that includes clients, developers, architects and consultants, the award recognizes organizations that put health and safety at the forefront of their business ethics and activities.

The Lighthouse Club, a charitable organization supporting those who have been injured in the construction workplace, host an annual awards night that acknowledges the leading efforts of organizations and individuals for improving health and safety in the construction industry. 

Looking at an existing project, Arcadis has been recognized for its work with The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) for implementing exceptional health and safety measures throughout the project. The Arcadis’ HSBC team went above and beyond to ensure all engineers, contractors, risk consultants and other project stakeholders, were fully geared and prepared to deliver a safe project. Part of the project’s success also lies in the global delivery programme that recorded zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) across a total of 100 projects in Hong Kong. 

Tom Aston, Arcadis’ Programme Director, commented on the success: “Health and safety is paramount in every project we deliver. When we work with all clients, not just HSBC, we ensure safety and the wellbeing of all employees and contractors are our top priorities. To be acknowledged for our delivery is something that I am very proud of, but it’s even more important to remember that the success of the project is a result of the team’s collaborative effort.”
