Arcadis appointed to WestConnex New M5 Project

(February 8, 2016) Arcadis (Euronext: arcad), the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, today announced that it has been appointed to provide Independent Certifier services for the multi-billion AUS$ WestConnex New M5 Project in Sydney, Australia, in association with Australian firms APP and SMEC. The Arcadis fee for the project will be in excess of AUS$34 million over 3 years.

WestConnex will link the M4 and M5 motorway corridors via tunnels and connect Sydney's west and south west with its international gateways and key places of business. The New M5 design and construction project will run from Beverly Hills and includes a tunnel from Kingsgrove on the existing M5 East to a new interchange at St Peters. It is expected to open to traffic in late 2019 and will relieve road congestion, improve travel times, reliability and safety for all motorists.
