Job description

He or she will report to Global Head of Tax and will be part of the tax team in Amsterdam consisting of four tax professionals as well as the global team with professionals in various international locations. The tasks and responsibilities will be mainly focused on transfer pricing matters of Arcadis globally. The Transfer Pricing Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the global transfer pricing strategy, structure and documentation worldwide. Next to this he or she will assist and manage international tax projects on an ad hoc basis. More specifically the tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide internal advice regarding transfer pricing and manage transfer pricing policies;
  • Work with corporate and business areas on relevant transfer pricing tax issues/opportunities/models, understanding and aligning tax requirements and providing tax technical support;
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of transfer pricing methods and creating any relevant tax documentation, correspondence for assigned projects and tasks;
  • Coordinate the global transfer pricing processes, make sure that all countries meet their documentation requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable transfer pricing rules, cases and practices;
  • Manage and do functional-, economic- and financial analysis;
  • Monitor tax legislation for impact on operations and recommend actions/strategies to implement in order to position the company in the most tax advantageous position;
  • Coordinates transfer pricing audits;
  • Lead/assist in negotiation of APA’s or rulings;
  • Assist on an ad hoc basis in international (corporate income) tax projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics and at least 8 years of relevant experience as a Transfer Pricing Specialist in consultancy and/or as an in-house Transfer Pricing Manager and experience with international corporate income tax. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge with respect to (international) transfer pricing principles.

Further required competencies for this role:

  • Self-starter, can work independently, remotely and is comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Mature personality with strong and independent point of view as sparring partner for senior management through knowledge and diplomacy;
  • Excellent analytical, presenting and communication skills through helicopter view and eye for detail; high standard of written and presentational skills;
  • Strong process management skills, experience with corporate processes;
  • Pro-active and results driven self-starter; provide advice on improvement initiatives, both when asked for as well as on your own initiative;
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.
