Arcadis, the leading global Design & Consultancy for natural and built assets, today announced it has joined Supply Nation to reinforce their commitment to diversity both within the workforce and the procurement process.
Supply Nation connects its membership to Indigenous suppliers to build a vibrant and prosperous Indigenous business sector by incorporating Indigenous owned businesses into the supply chain of Australian companies and government agencies.
Arcadis has actively pursued initiatives designed to help close the gap for Australia’s Indigenous peoples and communities, including working with Reconciliation Australia to develop a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). The RAP, which was endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, contains a detailed and transparent range of strategies and measurable actions that Arcadis will undertake to make a positive impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment at Arcadis and broader cultural change.
Laura Berry, Chief Executive Office, Supply Nation: “We are delighted to welcome Arcadis into the Supply Nation community and look forward to working with them to develop their supplier diversity footprint. The measure of our collective success will be in the value of transactions between Arcadis and Indigenous businesses.”
Malcolm McDowall, CEO Australia Pacific, Arcadis: “I’m thrilled for Arcadis Australia Pacific to join with Supply Nation in making a positive contribution towards building respect, supporting education and connecting with Indigenous businesses. ”
