Helping to secure Melbourne’s position as having the largest container port in Australia.

Coined as a nationally significant project, the Dynon Port Rail Link helped secure Melbourne’s position as having the largest container port in Australia. This feat was achieved by easing major road and rail bottlenecks and improving internal operational efficiencies across the precinct.

Jointly undertaken by the Federal and Victorian Government, the Department of Infrastructure appointed Arcadis as Project Manager, and oversaw stakeholder consultation, preliminary design and preconstruction activities across the project.

Recognised for their robust project management, the Arcadis team won an award at the Consult Australia 2010 Engineering Awards for Excellence.
