Reducing risk through enhanced environmental, health and safety performance
The way we define, operate and interact with EHS in the construction industry is maturing. With safeguarding employee well-being and business value creation becoming an essential part of business operations, organizations not only need to adopt prescribed standards, they also need to lead the way in complying with legislation and implementing best practise.
To combat the human and financial impact of poor EHS, the construction industry now has an expectation for organizations to move from a reactive, to a proactive mindset. There is a need to be able to respond to stakeholders’ EHS needs more efficiently by developing effective strategies. In Asia, due to the low levels of maturity around EHS, more investment and an increase of resource is required to improve standards and reduce associated risk.
