Arcadis Asia - Earlier this year, Arcadis received the GOLD Award as part of a joint venture in appreciation of the contract supervisory team for the ‘Widening of the Tolo Highway – Tai Hang to Wo Hop Shek Interchange’, of which Arcadis are the lead in the JV.
This is the top award in the Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme which is a major annual award scheme operated by the Government, led by Development Bureau. Arcadis was represented at the award ceremony by Robert Gordon and Rupert Leung, along with Arcadis senior members of the site supervision team.
Commenting on the award, Executive Director – Head of Engineering Infrastructure, Asia, Robert Gordon said: “The receipt of this award is fantastic news and is deserved recognition of all the hard work that has gone into making this happen. With all projects of this size, there were multiple stakeholders involved throughout the process and the way we have collaborated both internally and externally on this this project is exemplary."
The project needed careful coordination, including night‐time works, temporary traffic arrangements, tandem lifting over the existing Fanling Highway and MTR East Rail Line, all in close vicinity of existing village houses creating a need to mitigate any disturbance.
